I’m Lorena Sánchez, and you may know me as Bioilustraciones. I am a scientific and naturalistic illustrator and an infographic designer. My work has been published in books, identification guides, scientific outreach materials, museums, and other platforms.
I chose to pursue scientific illustration because it is a discipline that brings art and science together. Through this type of illustration, it is possible to achieve a strong impact and wide reach in scientific communication, conservation, and public awareness. I specialize primarily in watercolor techniques and digital illustration, and I also work with graphite and colored pencils.
